If your baby can sit independently, but not quite yet fully on the move then this is the perfect time to book your Sitter Session Milestone Photoshoot in York!

With a Sitter session the focus is more on your baby and not so much on the décor. Soft and light materials, outfits and backgrounds will be used, so that the colours in the photos are nice and natural. I have a selection of both boy and girl outfits in the studio however if you choose to bring your own outfit you would like that can be incorporated also.

In contrast to the newborn photos of your baby, a sitter session is now time for wake up pictures with their eyes open! Also, your child will now consciously look at the camera, a rattle. laugh at Peek-a-boo and maybe even clap his or her hands.

I think this is a lovely age to photograph and the photos are very suitable for a beautiful canvas in the living room! As opposed to a Cake Smash photo shoot where the attention also goes to the decorative background, cake, flags and balloons, a Sitter Session focus will be purely on your child.

Your little one will be photographed both sitting down as well as capturing other images of them lying on their stomach / back or even crawling around. If you would like to book please book when your child is around 6 months old to reserve a spot in my calendar :).

Since a child around 7-9 months won't have a particularly long concentration span and can get tired quickly, a Sitter photo shoot will take about 30-45 minutes. There is often time for a outfit change if you would like.
